The ‘nuna’ is back! K-pop star Jessi has new music dropping March 17th!
In case you’re not familiar, Jessi is K-pop’s baddest ... (you fill in the blank). But in all seriousness, this rapper from P Nation, founded by ‘Gangnam Style’ behemoth PSY is not one to be messed with. From her highest-charting solo track to date ‘NUNU NANA’ to becoming a member of the all-girl supergroup Refund Sisters (with Hwasa, Uhm Jung-hwa (Man Ok, and Lee Hyori) and more, she took K-pop and the world by storm in 2020 To say I’m excited about what Jessi has in store for us in 2021, is an understatement.
Here are three reasons to look forward to Jessi’s comeback.
1. The dance choreography
The choreography of NUNU NANA is so catchy that it spawned a variety of TikTok dance challenges, was performed on several award shows, and more. Since Jessi has more than proven herself as a great dancer, we can only imagine how cool and sexy the choreography of the latest title track will be.
2. The track list
Last year’s EP Nuna, spawned her first top-ten single and that’s just the title track. B-Side tracks like Drip and Who Dat B are also fan favorites. It’s safe to say the latest album isn’t going to be anything less than amazing.
3. The concept + costuming
Jessi oozed effortless cool girl in the promo photos for “Nuna” as well as the stage performances of NUNU NANA. If her recent Instagram posts are an indication of the level of costuming we can hope to see come March 17th, all I can say is wow.
