4 things to expect from "hospital playlist 2"
June 16, 2021
The wait of one year is over and we can’t be ready enough for the Hospital Playlist Season 2. One of the most loved K-Drama is back on screen to give us more wonderful stories. The simplicity and the assertive tone of the drama are enough to sweep you off your feet.
The Hospital Playlist is a slice of life drama revolving around 5 friends of two decades. They all met and became friends in their medical college and now end up working in the same hospital. We see their day-to-day hospital life and stories spinning around them and about them. Season 1 ended with a lot of questions and a cliffhanger. This gave us more reason to look forward to
Ps: Minor spoilers ahead!
1. Our beloved characters are back!!!
The goofy know-it-all Lee Ik Jun (Jo Jung Suk), softball Ahn Jung Won (Yoo Yeon Seok), cold looking but assertive Kim Jun Wan (Jung Kyung Ho), aloof but the core of the friendship Yang Suk Hyung (Kim Dae Myung) and the balance of their friendship Chae Song Hwa (Jeon Mi Do) are more so every reason to tune into watching season 2. You will either see them in a hospital or eating away to glory in any restaurant. I still can’t get enough of their nonchalant conversations from season 1 and ready to see more of their bickering. They will make you crave to be part of the group too.
2. Will they end up together?
We got 4 love stories in season 1 and almost all of them being left at a cliff, hanging. It will be up to season 2 to see how many love stories will materialize and who will end up with whom. Will Song Hwa not move hospitals and accept Ik Jun? Is love finally on cards for Suk Hyung? How far will Jun Wan and Ik Sun go in their relationship? Will Jung Won finally accept the love of Gyeo Wool? These questions are being left to season 2 and I will riot if there are any heart breaks.
3. Musical performances
It is that time of the year where we update our playlist. Ik Jun, Jung Won, Jun Wan, Suk Hyung and Song Hwa were also part of the band and they came together to play again on the insistence of Suk Hyung. They gave us soulful songs from the 90s and 2000s to add to our playlist. Aloha sung by Jo Jung Suk is still one of my favourites and their karaoke performance is a stress buster for me. Me to You, You to Me sung by them is a loop worthy song on any day. We can hope to look forward to more of such amazing songs and their OST album release.
Here is there live YouTube concert from last year:
4. More heart-warming stories
The thing which made this series hit was their heart wrenching and warming stories about the patients and the doctors. Someone is waiting outside the waiting area in anticipation of good news, someone deaths may give life to someone else, someone goes home happy but someone did not survive and their family has to deal with the loss. These stories made Hospital Playlist an emotional rollercoaster of a drama to watch. I am already sitting with a tissue box because one is sure to shed some tears.
Let us know what you are looking forward to most in season 2! Happy drama watching!
