International anticipation is building for tvN’s newest drama, “Vincenzo!"

As a child, Park Joo Hyeong (Song Joong Ki) is adopted by an Italian family. As an adult, now named Vincenzo Casano, he is a lawyer working as a consigliere for the Mafia. Due to a war between Mafia families, Vincenzo returns to South Korea where he crosses paths with another lawyer named, Hong Cha Young (Jeon Yeo Bin). Together the two join forces to take down villains who can’t be punished by the court of law.

Below are three reasons to tune in to the upcoming premiere of “Vincenzo” on February 20th!

1. The cast

Fueled by an all-star cast, Vincenzo features Song Joong Ki, Jeon Yeo Bin, Ok Taec Yeon, Kwak Dong Yeon, and more.

Song Joong Ki as Park Joo Hyeong aka. Vincenzo Casano

Vincenzo Casano is a brutal strategist and lawyer of a mafia organization equipped with sound judgment and sharp negotiating skills to take down even the toughest of opponents.

Hong Cha-young is a lawyer who would do anything to win the case. she is also the one that Vincenzo ends up falling in love with. Will this be a thriller or a love story?

Ok Taec Yeon as Jang Joon Woo

Jang Joon-Woo is a hardworking first-year intern at the Woosung Law Firm. Although he seems innocent due to his awkwardness and silly mistakes at work, he is anything but.

Kwak Dong Yeon as Jang Han Seo

Jang Dong Yeon is the distressed and evil president of Babel Group, who is obsessed with winning by any means necessary.

2. Production power team

The screenwriting and direction of “Vincenzo” have been garnering interest since the release of the drama’s teaser posters last month. The main characters each have their own tagline that is reflective of the drama’s black comedy genre.

“Vincenzo” is helmed by director Kim Hee Won, who received positive reviews for her detailed and refined directing in “The Crowned Clown' and 'Money Flower.” Penning the script is Park Jae Bum of “The Fiery Priest” and “Good Manager,” notoriety. Together they are expected to impress once again as they plan to deliver a large-scale refresher to the audience through a plethora of dimensions. Viewers won’t be able to take their eyes off of the dark portrayals and elegant cinematography that will highlight the evolving relationships between the main cast.

3. A new side of Song Joong Ki

Song Joong Ki fans are in for a real treat as he sheds his flower boy image in favor of something much darker. In true SJK form, he oozes charisma, albeit dark charisma, as he embodies Vincenzo, a man who is cold-blooded, merciless, and calculated. It’s impossible to know what he’s thinking or feeling from minute to minute as he sets out to punish evil with evil.

Are you ready to embrace this dark hero?
